My Interview On The Working Class Audio Podcast! | Sara Carter: Online Mixing And Mastering

My interview on the Working Class Audio podcast!

A very unexpected thing happened the other day. I was just about to turn the light off and go to sleep when a message dropped into my inbox from Matt Boudreau.

Matt is a well respected and well known audio engineer and podcaster from San Francisco and I knew of him because I listen to his weekly Working Class Audio podcast where he interviews recording, mixing and mastering engineers and music producers about their life, business and experience.

After finally believing what I was reading, I tried my hardest to get to sleep but it wasn’t happening!

The next morning I emailed Matt and arranged for the interview to take place, I was so excited to be asked to do this. It all came about because he’d seen a video that my friend and renowned music producer  Sylvia Massy had posted online a couple of days previously showing me giving Sylvia a tour of the fantastic BBC’s Studios at Maida Vale in London.

I was reluctant to appear in the video but you do these things to help out and to push yourself into new experiences and out of your comfort zone once in a while. I’m so glad I did!

Matt’s podcast has reached episode number 194 today with my interview and he interviews audio professionals across all areas of the industry. The tagline for the show is “Navigating the World of Recording With a Working Class Perspective” which gives you an idea of the type of podcast it is.

He releases a new episode every Monday and is always on the look out for guest suggestions so get in touch and let him know who you’d like him to interview next.
