What is online mixing?
After recording your music at home or in a studio, send it to be mixed by an online mixing engineer. Choose one with the experience and knowledge to turn it from a dull demo to a radio ready mix. Communicate over email or video messaging until the project is finished. Online mixing is an easy and convenient way to get a professional mix that you and your fans will love.
Bringing your songs to life
I use many different creative and technical mixing techniques to get the best out of your recordings, giving your song impact and excitement.
EQ
Corrects any muddy frequencies or overly bright tones. Creates separation between instruments. Also helps elements cut through the mix.
Compression
Controls the loudest and quietest parts of your mix. It keeps louder signals in check while bringing up quieter parts. It can also bring more attack or smooth out sharp transients.
Referencing
Sending a reference track helps me understand how you want your mixes to sound. I'm able to critically listen to commercial recordings to bring similar tonal qualities and effects to your mix.
Reverb & Delay
For adding depth and creating your mixes 3D soundstage and mood. Used creatively to extend sounds for longer than was recorded.
Distortion & Saturation
Similar to EQ in some ways, making elements sit into, or jump out of a mix by adding harmonic complexity.
Automation
Automatically performs tasks over time without having to be hands on, ensuring a balanced mix every time. Also to create unique effects

Do you usually mix your own recordings?
Getting professional demos recorded and mixed is one of the biggest challenges up and coming bands face and mixing isn’t easy.
Maybe this sounds familiar…
- I can't get the mix to sound good enough
- Everything just sounds like mush
- I haven't got time to learn how to mix properly
- I've put hours into mixing this but it still sounds amateurish
- We're gonna have to postpone the release date, sorry guys
Let me help you get the sound you want by giving you more time to do what you love; write great songs and promote your band.
Sara is a wonderful mixing and mastering engineer. She demystifies all aspects of the process in a clear, thorough, and professional manner. Furthermore she listens to every request one can make and isn’t finished until you’re completely satisfied with the result. Sara is a pleasure to work with and I look forward to working with her again!

Why hire a professional mix engineer?
You're the expert at writing songs, it's what you do.
Here are 3 reasons to go pro:
1. Your competitive edge
The music business is very competitive, you know this, and it’s important you give yourself the best chance of success by releasing music that stands shoulder to shoulder with major label releases.
2. Make a jaw dropping 1st impression
You only get one shot at a first impression, whether that’s a music fan flicking through a playlist or an A&R person ploughing through the mile high pile of demos on their desk or inbox.
Writing a great song is the first and most important part of the process but a broadcast quality, professionally mixed song comes a very close second. You’ve only got a few seconds to grab someones attention, then it’s gone.
3. It makes business sense
So you can make money from your music, you should treat the recording and mixing process like a business decision and invest in people who are already experts in that field. It will pay off in the end.
I genuinely want to help you become a success and make the recording of your song sound competitive at the highest levels of the music business.
I’m an expert at mixing, it’s what I do and I’d love the chance to talk to you more about how I can help you get the sound what you want for your music.
Online Mixing Process
1. Upload your files
Send me your Pro Tools session or consolidated audio files in a zipped folder. I can provide an upload link or you can send them using Dropbox or We Transfer
2. Mixing
The fun part! I'll mix your song after getting clear on what it is you want for the track. I'd like your rough mix and reference examples to guide me as I mix your song.
3. Get your test mix
If I'm mixing more than one song, I'll mix the first song completely then send this mix for your approval before mixing the rest.
4. Listen
Listen to the mix on systems you know well and compare to the reference tracks you provided. Order a pizza and listen with the rest of the band and make notes.
5. Feedback
Take as long as you need to make your notes and send them to me so I can make adjustments and get the mix exactly how you want it. There are unlimited revisions on the test mix.
6. Approve the mix
Once approved, I'll mix the rest in one go and send them to you for more notes and revisions. You get three rounds of revisions at this stage. When complete, I'll send your final files.
Sara is very professional and she has made an amazing job! I was a little bit scared to work distance but she has been there to reassure me. She works methodically, and it’s very effective! She has made propositions and at the end, I’ve got an amazing EP, with an amazing sound! Thank you Sara, hope to work with you again 😉
